Do I just fix my error or have i caused major damage?

I'm sure your OK, but don't drive it until you can straighten out the plug wires. The firing order should be somewhere on the block, or look it up on the internet. Then find the #1 plug and start there making sure to go in order. Good luck.

You just fix your error, I promise you, you have not caused major damage. Once, I got a car for 3,000 dollars less because the guy said it had electrical problems...turns out the plug wires just weren't right.

you didn't mention wether or not you tried to drive it or not - if not you caused no damage - just fix the mistake and be done with it - but make sure that the distributor cap is in it's original position and you'll be good to go.

You havent hurt anything.just put them back like they were and youll be ok.Your firing order should be 1-3-5-7 on drivers side 2-4-6-8 on passenger side.Your dist. cap should have a 1 on top which will go to #1 cylinder and then work counter clockwise putting them back to original

you should be able to just fix your error... repost you question with your year make and modle of your ride! im sure someone can tell you the order you need to place your wires ;)

Just change the wires to the correct firing order--should not have done any damage.........Paul
