My left lockout hub has to be locked and unlocked with a tire iron, the other one i can turn with my hand. It's the 22RE 4cyl 2.4L model. The 4WD works great but it's a ***** to turn that hub to get into it.

Might be a problem with the grease gumming up in the hub--run across that before. Pull the hub apart, clean out good and regrease with a synthetic grease of matching quality---should work much better. Paul

If you know what it is take it to an auto mechanic, using a tire iron may damage:
suspension or steering components
front end may need alignment
front brakes may need replacement
wheel bearings

You need to replace the clutch and spring inside that hub cover. see the right side to install properly. the spring goes one way. good luck.

Grease the hub with molly grease then put it back together.
