He's been running around hugging just about everyone else - Muslims,Hindus,Eastern Orthodox,Jews even from what i hear...but so far no photo of His Holiness embracing a lovely Wiccan - you know, bury the hatchet, let's put it all behind us,silly business anyway all those witch-burnings. I wonder if perhaps he is concerned that such an encounter might be misconstrued? I mean, how pretty are they anyway? How young? What would you think?

The Catholic Church supports freedom of religion for all human beings (including Wiccans).

In the Vatican II document, Declaration on Religious Freedom, Dignitatis Humanae (Human Dignity), the Church states:

The human person has a right to religious freedom. This freedom means that all men are to be immune from coercion on the part of individuals or of social groups and of any human power, in such wise that no one is to be forced to act in a manner contrary to his own beliefs, whether privately or publicly, whether alone or in association with others, within due limits.

With love in Christ.

Since Wicca has only been around since the early 20th century, I'm not sure what the Pope has to apologize for. The Inquisition certainly didn't involve us, and there haven't been any large-scale purges of Wiccans (yet).

Wiccans were not burned nor hung.
Pope John Paul directed an apology towards less mainstream religions for the atrocities committed by the church.

I think that we are somewhere down the line, just before homosexuals. I also heard that he is going to canonize Micharl Jackson as the patron saint of children! Ya right!

He hasn't patched it up regarding the Inquisition yet.

He would have, but he's scared they might cast a curse on him because he's a raging kook.
