Just the fact that I am a born again Christian is a miracle. No more alcohol, swearing, smoking, etc. The fact that forgiveness comes instantly. A love for Christian music. Frequent praying. I am a miracle.
If you ever get a chance, there is a song called Sometimes Miracles Hide by Bruce Carroll that you ought to check out. Its a Christian country song from maybe 15 years ago. There are miracles all around us that we are too self centered to notice.

"The fact that we exist, or that God or anything exists, is the greatest miracle of all." (Joseph John Dewey)
There are many other miracles--again, all one has to do is to look up in a star-lit sky and/or experience anything of beauty.
The creation and birth of a baby seems to be a miracle to me.
Sorry, but I believe that what you describe as a miracle or miracles is not a miracle at all, but more towards what may be termed as 'phenomena' created by an intense desire and single pointed focus to please God.
Ask yourself, what exactly IS a miracle or the purpose of a miracle?
To get what you want--or ask God to give you what you believe you (and others) want or should have?
In your example, what if the Will of God was that these two people would NOT get back together and that no job would have been available. Would you be able to recognize and discern it AS being 'a miracle' and/or still label it as a miracle or manifestation of God's Will?
And, so is it that you know more about what your friends need than does God? How is that?
Regards,

I believe that a real miracle is when a single parent working 2 jobs to support their children than finding time to go to their children's soccer game.
I believe miracles are the best in humanity showing out of love for others not some fancy magic like splitting the sea or turning water into wine.

I believe there is a miracle in the world today and this miracle is indeed difficult to locate and appreciate. That miracle is this: "Locating a Human Being that travels within them-self and removes the faults that lie deeply embedded in there own heart, and at the same time stops finding faults with other human beings." This in my estimation could be called a True Miracle!
I met one of these Human Beings once when I was younger and her name was Mother Theresa..........

Praying isn't going to help me any. I don't believe in miracles. If somethings are meant to happen, then they will. It has nothing to do with god or the saints or whatever else you religious folk believe in.

One time I prayed that my mother-in-law would move out and stop insulting me. I got way more than I asked for and my neighbours saw her lifeless arm sticking out of a shallow grave in my back yard. The police are still trying to find the sicko who would do such a thing, but at least she moved to the back yard and no longer speaks ill of me.

Yes I do believe, because the cannonization process that they use includes the candidate for sainthood having to perform a given number of miracles.
