What can I add to my water so that I drink more of it?

I was drinking about 5 glasses of sprite a day. That's like 550 empty calories a day. (That alone is about a pound a week lost without doing anything else!)

If I switch to something like Crystal Light wouldn't that be WAY better? Going from 550 calories to about 25 calories a day?

I read some stuff here about how Crystal Light isn't good for you or can cause cancer, but I am sure the lab rats they used (or even the chickens) they gave them like 50 times the amount a human would ingest, so I just can't believe that it would be worse for me then soda would be.

I would definately suggest Crystal Light as an alternative. Cause cancer? What doesn't. There are also some generic brands to Crystal Light that has "0" calories instead of 5. So when you go to the grocery store next, compare.

I boil water, then add honey and a little bit of lemon then put it in the fridge over night to cool. I try to make a gallon at a time so it last for a few days.

I used to do the Crystal Light thing but found my recipe a lot better. Anything is better than Sprite

Crystal Light isn't so bad. The chemical in it (and in most other low calorie or no sugar foods/drinks) that is believed to cause cancer is aspartame. When the chemical is warmed up it's chemical properties break down into something that resembles formaldehyde.
You'd have to drink MASSIVE amounts of aspartame for it to have an ill-effect on you.
I'd say find something low-cal that you like and go with it. Crystal Light would be fine.

Switching to Crystal light would definitely be better calorie and taste-wise. I hadn't heard about the cancer, I'm assuming that's in reference to the artificial sweetners in it.

Anyway, other options are unsweeted iced tea, which is actually better than water because it has antioxidants in it. Also, several companies make calorie-free powders to put in, Lipton has a delicious Peach Iced Tea that I'm obsessed with.

Or, at the very least, switch to Diet Sprite.

Do not drink Crystal Light. It is full of crap that is not good for you body. Try drinking water with Lime or water with orange. If you dont like that there is product call Fruit2O. It is great, much better than crystal light. It is fruit flavored water in almost any flavor you can think of.

Crystal Light and most flavored waters have NutraSweet in them and that can really be damaging to you. Lots of research shows that NutraSweet causes changes in the female brain and can produce lupus type symptoms. What I do is buy my favorite juice and add just enough to taste to a bottle of water. It is a few calories but good calories and a whole lot less than soda.

1 You don't need to drink 8 glasses of water a day it is a complete myth you get most your water from your food

2 Did you know that the pop you drink slowly takes the calcium out of your bones( because its carbonated) so you should drink a lot of milk

3 Crystal light is really bad for you because of the aspartame the dietitians say it is worse for you than sugar ( aspartame)

4 If you don't want to drink milk try chocolate milk or
strawberry milk

Crystal Light still has chemicals in it. Anything with aspartame, splenda, etc, is no good for you. Real sugar is much better for you than all of that garbage.

What about getting plain seltzer water (not the flavored kind) and mixing it with a little lemon or a little bit of natural fruit juice?

You should definitely switch to crystal light, or maybe something like Verifine's Fruit 2 o. These two options are absolutely healthier than soda!

nothin can replace water... n all sodas n even crystal light's a total no-no!! its k once in awhile but makin a habit of it will seriously damage ur system.. its cos of the artificial sweetners...n the soda will jus bloat u up!!
if u don like plain water, add in sugar or a pinch of salt, or both, chill it even (chillin kills the taste) . u can even try ice tea,its a greatoption, but use a mild tea,brewed for long ... th best replacement is natural fruit juice, if u get enogh of that u don really need water! :) tc..
