I would not recommend a locking gas cap, with EPA the cars and trucks monitor the evap system. If the cap leaks or vents at a different psi it will turn your check engine light on.
I have had to tell people the new cap they just got is junk and sell them a new one because they threw away the old one.

Did this once for a customer...You could modify if by drilling and filing a hole towards the side and installing a cabinet-type lock like those found on tool boxes...you might have to cut a slot or place a striker in the opening to catch the latch part of the lock and touch-up the paint where you drilled the hole. A locking gas gas might be an easier way to go...most parts stores have them available. Just a couple of ideas for you.......Paul

You could probably have a lock installed, but that could be expensive. It'd be quicker and cheaper to get a locking gas cap.

Some vehicles nowadays have a screen down in the filler neck to prevent anyone from feeding a siphon hose into the fuel tank...if you have this, nobody could steal your gas even if they got the fuel door open and the cap off.

You can find a locking gas cap at any auto parts store.
