Try a deep conditioner as well. Leave it on yor hair for awhile ie while you watch American Idol. Why iss your hair dry? Do you blow dry? Flat iron? use a lot of gel and or hairspray? Your styln products should also be moisturin'. Try to not blow dry if you must straighten. buy ahot oil for the ends and I think Vidal Sasson has a hair lotion for non black hair. You can also use black hair products... why not. They may wok good for you. Also don't vary so much give each change a month so youcan tell what is working and what is not working. Right now I am using vive shine gloss and pantene daily moisturizer. My hair is really healthy!

Ok, I have the same problem. My mom owns a hair studio and she has always said that you should NEVER buy a drug store shampoo/conditioner because they will strip your hair and don't last nearly as long as a professional product. It costs a bit more to buy, but if you can, you should try a professional product. I find that Baine De Terre shampoo and conditioner is amazing. My hair has never been so soft.

Another example that you will laugh at but it REALLY WORKS is Maine and Tail from your local tack shop (where you go for horse supplies). It is a horse shampoo... ok you are laughing I can hear you... but it works wonderfully and it is less than the salon products. Just try either of these for a couple of weeks and you will see a difference.

Hope this helps:)

I think for what you're looking for you need something more then drugstore brands. Some stores do sell Redken, so look for that. Get the Redken All Soft. There's a regular conditioner then one that's called Heavy Cream, get that one. It's about $15. Or, there's this one I got from my hairdresser, I think it was $22, and it's called L'Oreal Professional Intense Repair Masque, in a round yellow tub, not a bottle or a tube. If you do a web search for it, you can find it and probably even get it cheaper on ebay. That one was awesome. I would use the regular Redken conditioner everyday, then either the Heavy Cream or the L'Oreal every other day or so. They're both awesome.

I heard netrougena triple mositure is the best for dry hair
It's the shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask.
It's only like 5 dollars each in walmart, target or k-mart.
Here this might make you want to buy it, try it!!

Also here are some tips for dry hair:

Deep condition once a week
Buy a leave-in-conditioner and don't rinse
Use a moisturizing shampoo
Conditon your tips not your roots.
While conditioing your hair tips comb with a wide-tooth comb
prevents you from getting split ends.
Don't blow dry you hair, let it air dry
Don't comb you hair while wet, use a wide-tooth comb
Comb your hair at night.
Don't rise your hair with hot water, try cool water.
If you straighten your hair use a heat protecter
Cut your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to avoid getting split ends

Try plain old Mayonnaise, not Miracle Whip, massaged into the hair, covered with a plastic cap, left on for 5 to 10 minutes, and then "thoroughly" shampoo your hair with a hydrating shampoo. There are many of these shampoos on the market, and I have been unable to ascertain that one is superior. I have had a few beauticians use "flat" beer on my hair as a "conditioner".

I struggle with dry, curly, frizzy, and thinning hair. Just plain old "dry" hair would be a blessing!

U need to kick it up a notch to the next level of conditioners (more money but worth it)...
TRY: got 2b in therapy reconstructing conditioner FIRST and get the leave-in conditioner that you can use on wet or dry hair called: Silk Therapy....Use the Silk Therapy sparingly and use it 2 times a day..You'll see a difference right away!...Don't wash your hair everytime you shower....just use the conditioner instead and wash your hair like every other time or every three times....go get the Silk Therapy by Bionetics straight away!.. Happy Hair days!

Joico K-pak conditioner. It can be used daily or a deep conditioning mask.

Just a drop of jojoba oil is a great leave in conditioner. It's non-comedogenic, adds a nice sheen and washes out easily.

If you treat your hair, (coloring or straightening, or permanent) you will take some of the natural moisture out. Mayo, olive oil, honey, and avacado are some of the kitchen ingredients which will make your hair shine and stay beautifully conditioned. Henna seems to make the hair feel stronger. Wash them out before going to bed, of course.

I have a similar problem. The only thing that helped me was the children's 2-in-1 shampoo by suave. It sounds silly, but I swear they add more conditioner to them. My hair is silky and soft when I use it. Good luck!
