shingles are caused by the same virus as the chicken pox, but I'm not sure whether it's contagious at that point. Call your doctor, and ask. I do know that if you had a very mild case of the chicken pox, you can get them again. my youngest son had them twice.

Yes, chicken pox happens and can occur again in the form of shingles. It is caused by the herpes zoster virus which lives dormant inside you until you are weak..such as a frail elderly person. You may be able to get chicken pox from someone who has shingles therefore you should take extra precautions when close physical contact is necessary such as wash hands w/soap-water then use antibacterial gel or avoid physical contact if at all possible.

I am a veteran of chicken pox... I have had them 3 times!
First 2 times were really mild and the third time was in my final year of high school (obviously when the stress was on).
Shingles is an adult form of chicken pox, often brought on by extended periods of stress.
I don't believe it is actually contagious though.

To add to what Nurse Missy said, Chicken Pox CAN re-occur.

The odds are like 1 in 15,000 or so...but Shingles, which is the same virus, can be triggered at ANY age by stress.

As the Virus lies dormant in your CNS (central Nervous system) until a very severe case of stress or trauma occurs to trigger it.

No age is immune to it. And shingles can also be re-occuring and it is said to be 10x's more painful than Chicken Pox.

Pimple such as you say? That in most cases is not bird pox, considering from my enjoy, bird pox rashes are most likely no longer pimple like. I used to have those itchy mini-pimple-like matters on my arm, and breasts, after becoming a member of a swim workforce, they disappeared. We in most cases had the identical situation. These "acne" are in most cases prompted by means of lifeless epidermis phone construct up. When you are taking a bath or tub, you must rub the areas with the spots till you scrub out eraser-shred like black matters. These are the lifeless epidermis cells. Doing this each and every week would possibly or might not be ready to take away the spots, or it would possibly not. Try it besides.
