I can not deny Christ for any reason. It is against my faith. And since I don't fear death, it would be better for the unbelievers to get to leave because the very experience may cause them to look at God in a different light and give them an opportunity to come to Him for salvation. Now, if the shooter wants the Christians to leave, I don't know what I'd do. Probably leave, but if I could somehow help save lives, I would hope I'd have the courage to stay.....I hope, but not sure. In the past, God has given me courage to do some things I would never had been able to do and I can't explain it, but you just suddenly have an ability to obey Him when that happens. If He did that to me at this particular time, I know from past experience I would do the brave thing. Hope I make sense.

I am an atheist so I don't have a religion or faith. I would leave and I would hope and make everyone leave with me. I find it curious that when a lunatic does something like that all eyes are on them and the media is trying to find out about them for once I would like the lunatics name not mentioned and the victims names are the only names used and remembered.

If you have a deity and you know he will protect you, why leave. You should stay and fight the shooter, your deity will protect you anyway, why be afraid?
For atheist, they will probably leave because they do not have god / gods to protect them, they have a family themselves to protect.
So therefore, it just shows you have no faith in your deity will protect you, that's all...... that is so much for faith ..... there is an old Chinese saying ..... faith stays with you until you see danger.

I would tackle the guy and save everyone. It's going to take more than one shot to kill me. I would hope there would be more than one other man there with some guts and we could pin the guy and take away his gun.
Men that do such things are cowards and easy to take down. He would probably pee his pants. I'm not going to be taken hostage without a fight.
Jesus said turn the other cheek if you are slapped. He didn't say stand by while a lunatic mows down women and children.

I would stay, I am not afraid, absolutely, positively, without a doubt, no fear, not even a little bit. What's he going to do kill me? Then what will he do to me for his next great act? I have faith and believe no matter what the circumstances, I would die before I would deny my God or my faith in him.

Well since I carry a gun with me at all times anyone trying to take me hostage would already have my clear opinion on the matter, and one of us would be dead. Of course if they were breaking it down by religion I guess I could leave anyway, unless someones planning on holding Atheists hostage,in which case we return to my first statement.

I would play the duck and try to take away the gun. If I died trying to save the others, this would prove my faith much more than anything else (John 15:13)

what's the point of leaving?
IMO, leaving is denying God, and if God's gonna let me get killed, then sure. Plus, everyone else will know how strong my faith was. I'd probably ask the killer to at least halfheartedly pray to God before they suicide on the off chance it works.
Personally, i think a more important thing to consider is, would you give your life for God, rather than your death?
you need both. Life=works, works=proof of faith, Death=proof of faith.

I'm a Christian. How could I face my Lord and Savior in eternity and tell Him, "Oh, by the way, You may have died for me, but I was too chicken to put my own life on the line. Sorry I denied You, but that's just how it goes."
Jesus said, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 10:32-33)
He also said, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28)
This life is short, and nobody knows when or how they're going to die. But we do have the choice of going to Heaven or Hell afterwards. If giving up a few years on earth is the price for an eternity with Jesus in Heaven, I'd be a fool to deny Him.

I am who I am. If it gets me shot, the Karma lies on the soul of the killer. But to live a lie, is worse than not living at all. One must be true to oneself.
If for only one reason, then for integrity.
People are either real...or players.
