I live in an Islamic state and my neighbours are Christians, Buddihst and Hindus. They have never been forced to convert and none of them have ever been killed. They don't even have to pay any special taxes.

I always find Non-Muslims use to make their mind without any research or proof and they blow very hot air on so many sensitive issues by passing non confirmed comments/opinions.
Most of people blindly believe what their govt. show in media and want them to think like that. In reality their govt. deceives for other reasons to control them tightly.
I live in middle east, people living very friendly.
One Americon, after converting to Islam, had a complaint, by living 20 years in KSA, no one invited him towards Islam, even single time..

Ignorance. People see something on the news and think everywhere is like that place.
I think a lot of people believe just what they see on television.
Also where their is a majority it can be hard on the minority regardless of where you live.
I live in a town where their are 28 Christian churches and no other churches. Some of my neighbors make it plain that they don't like the idea I am not Christan.
I dont have to pay extra taxes and nobody forces me to convert but some make is plain that they don't want to be friends because of my beliefs.

Do you deny that islam intends to dominate the world? If you are a Muslim, you cannot, not without lying. Non-muslims are considered filth in an islamic country and you know it. Not all Muslims will kill over it, but infidels are still looked down upon, treated differently, not allowed to practice their faith freely in some countries. This isn't something I just made up and if you were honest you'd admit it. It's disgusting the way you say "they don't even have to pay any special taxes", like you are doing the "infidels" a favor.
In answer to that other question, I would rather die than convert to islam. I will also fight like hell to make sure islam doesn't take over The United States of America.

Granted, Islamic states in Central Asia are like that.
But that is the exception, not the rule in the Middle East.
to the idiot below me... I guess Christians do not want to rule the world...
Maybe the Crusades, missionary work, and European colonialism was just a way to say hi.

you might be surprised to know that some people hate you guys now. sucks i know. They'll say anything to drag you down.
We keep them mostly in check, they're wouldn't say it in the general public. Just in private and online where it is private for the person. The administration is suspect though, McCain, Cheney both seem racist to me. Bush is the kinda guy who'll just go along with it, smile and not make waves.

And what people like you seem to not know that is quite frequently Islamic death squads will visit places forcing conversions and doing unimaginable horribly evil things I didnt even know humans could be capable of like dismembering children in front of their parents. And how much do you think the govt gets involved in that? Actually, in many Muslim countries, if you are free to do such things if for instance one of your relatives who WAS Muslim converts to another religions. Theyre called honor killings and theyre quite common in the middle east and places like the phillipines.
Talk to ANY Israeli or arab, jew or Christian in the middle east and they can tell you all about it.

Because of the propaganda being fed to them. there are muslims who take islam to the extreme, there's no denying that but the media makes it seems as though this is characteristic of the majority. this is not what islam is and it is certainly not what most muslims believe!
