Since the debut of the "car of tomorrow," NASCAR has taken the car of the race winner and one or two others back to its research and development center in Concord for examination of how the car handles the rigors of race conditions. Hendrick drivers have won all four COT races thus far this season.

NASCAR did the same this past week after Richmond, but because Johnson's team was not planning to run the car at Darlington, S.C., this weekend, Hendrick told NASCAR officials they could keep the car for additional study.

Johnson's passed post-race inspection at Richmond and there are no other issues with the car, NASCAR officials maintain.

"The No. 48 team was not using this car for Darlington and they volunteered to let us keep the car longer in an effort to increase the scope of our inspection process," said NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp. "There are no issues with the car whatsover.
"This is a good example of teams working with us as we adapt to the new car."

I never thought they were cheating, although I did think that it was weird how they kept dominating. I have a simple solution though:
This team is a prestigious team that is known for it's successes. This team has a group of great mechanics and such to realize that there are secrets, and to exploit them. Also, this is a great group of racers. Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson are great, supported by a cast of very strong, famous names.

That is a childish assumption.for any "fan" to accuse Hendrick Motorsports of cheating.

RIck Hendrick is a business executive who is very successful. The annual revenue his company generates is over $3 billion dollars.

Three BILLION $$$.

Three (3) billion dollars.

That is, $3,000,000,000.00 !!!

Hendrick Motorsports has the resources because they have 1] the money, and 2] the leadership of a very successful man. These resources help create a team of the best in pit crews, crew chiefs, equipment, engines, etc.

Now let's be clear--if Hendrick were caught "cheating", how much does he stand to lose??? If you were a CEO of a $3,000,000,000.00 company, do you honestly think you would jeopardize your reputation by cheating? If that happened, this could cost Hendrick hundreds of millions of dollars of lost sales due to bad publicity. Get real! Nobody jeopardiizes a $3,000,000,000.00 company to win a car race.

The childish conspiracy theory racecar fans here are not using basic common sense. They like Earnhardt and are stumped to figure out why Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson and Kyle Busch are doing so well.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. commented that he tested the COT at Richmond about five times, but Hendrick Motorsports tested about 40 times. They had the financial resources to do that--DEI did not.

There are a lot of people here who need to grow up and start using some common sense. Hendrick Motorsports is enjoying great success because Rick Hendrick is a decent man, a very successful executive who hires the best people, rewards his employees, uses great management skill in forming teams and teamwork among those teams, has the financial resources to keep a step ahead of some other teams, and this has helped him create three very successful NASCAR teams that now dominate the NASCAR races.

Cheating?Flip a coin.
As forthe the quaility of the cars there is no expensespared in the R&D department. Not just Hendricks directly but the smaller teams that (a)use Hendricks motors,(b) Indirectly usingHendricks built cars. All these tems get test sessions and some things are tested in all test.
Drivers are the best that money can buy, that is sign to contracts.
AndHendrickshas deep pockets and that spell success which is what Hendricks Motorsports has.
As for the aligations about cautions,debris,G-W-C finishes. It is timing verses dumb luck that could happen to anyone.

Considering what happened at Daytona to Michael Waltrip, I believe that NASCAR is finally serious about cracking down, and that if they were, there would have been some fines and suspensions thrown around by now.

I personally just think it's that all the teams are spread thin right now with the multiple car season, and Hendrick has the most resources to spread around.

Hendrix doesn't cheat. They are just Nascar/nextel Choosing People. They did build the first chassis for Nascar's R&D. They had the basic setup of the car long before anybody else. They do get flags throw at the most oppritune times. They do not have the guts to speak badly of Nextel leadership on camera. They do not get questionable pit road speeding penalties. They do not get rough driving penalties.
Officails love them. Nascar loves them. Women love them. Today's race fans love them. Those of us who remember Winston Cup racing when it was a rough and tumble men's sport hate them. They may not be cheating, but they are taking advantage of Nascar's love affair with them..

No I don't. Hendrick is just a very good organization (with lots of $$) I believe that Harvick would of won last weekend if it wasn't for there pit stop accident. Penske Racing also looks very good from a year ago

Not just Hendrick, but all the Chevy teams are the darlings of NASCAR. God help if Ford wins two or three races, much less 9 or 10 like Chevy has. NASCAR would be preaching "well we gotta change the rules, even up the competition".
And they call wrestling fake!

Proof is in the pudding! Now that everyone knows that Hendricks doesnt cheat, do all you Hendrick haters go back to the "Gay" or "debris" theory?
