The Bible clearly teaches that sinners are justified (declared righteous) by faith in Christ alone apart from the works of the law. Here are the biblical passages that support this truth:

John 3:16
Romans 3:28
2 Corinthians 5:21
Galatians 2:16
Ephesians 2:8-9
Philippians 3:9
Titus 3:5

Also, the Bible clearly states that God keeps us in his arms forever once we have become part of his spiritual family:

John 6:37, 51
Romans 8:1, 30, 38-39
Philippians 1:6
Jude 24

Justification is by grace through faith alone..Amen...I agree!

Edit: Works are an indication of faith..and we will be judged according to our works at the Judgement seat of Christ and receive rewards and loss of rewards...To be sure faith without works is dead, however.

But salvation is not by works .."lest anyman should boast"

Works are a part of sanctification not justification....

Apart from "the works of the law" - that is, the hundreds of regulations piled upon the people under the Old Covenant - yes. But apart from Christian works of charity, faith cannot save you, for this kind of faith is dead, and dead faith is not faith unto salvation. Read the last paragraph of Matt 25. What could be clearer? No mention of faith at all here. Just a warning that those who do not perform Christian works of charity will go to hell. Pretty straightforward.

Agree. Most people who are not believers just don't get it. The good works are a product of salvation, not the way to salvation. After salvation, because of the indwelling Holy Spirit, we will desire to go good unselfishly and for no gain. The works that we do will come under a separate judgment than the Great White Throne Judgment (which judges our salvation through Jesus). This other judgment will be for rewards, or lack thereof. Our unconfessed sins will be recorded and go against us only in the way of rewards and shame before the Father. Salvation is secure by the blood of the Son, which imputes His righteousness covering us.

II think you misunderstood the bible:

How about this verse “Jam 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” are we going to set this aside?

Salvation depends on your obedience of the Gospel. Even if you are already a member of the true church, but are not obedient to the Gospel, you still won't be saved just like what is written in I Corinthians 15:1-2; and it states—

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

The bible also states we get remission of sin by baptism in the name of Jesus.

See Acts 2:38 and Acts 22:16

This is always a hot topic at churches and religious debates. :)

I look at it this way:

We must accept the fact that we have broken God's law first.

We must then recognize that we would be found guilty on judgment day.

We must then recognize that because God is absolute just we would be cast into Hell for our sins.

We must then repent (turn from our sins) by accepting Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for us.

How do we know that we have had a genuine salvation experience? Easy. We will desire to be more like the person God wanted us to be in the first place. Our life will begin reflecting those qualities (works) that he finds desirable.

So, works will not get you into Heaven but getting into Heaven will make you so grateful that you will exhibit works.

Faith without works is dead. Justification by faith alone is the path to salvation, however Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments. The new covenant says that God will write His laws in our hearts. Revelation speaks of a remnant that will keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus. Keeping God's commandments is the natural fruit of true faith.

Salvation is a continuous action verb two meanings If we are truly saved we will be saved from that point forward into eternity. James says salvation is by Grace thus if grace is working in our lives we will evidence that grace by what we do.
"By their works ye shall know them. A fig tree will yield figs. If you examine fruits and someone says I'm a fig tree but all you ever see are apples--are they saved?

If someone says to you I was saved in my younger age but I have since become an atheist--Are they still saved?

You can rest assured God does not lie but can someone walk away from faith and never mention God in praise again?

Salvation is through faith alone. :)

Works are as nothing...unless prompted by the Holy Spirit. Only that which is done by the Holy Spirit has eternal value. Physical things we can do, but spiritual things must be done by the Holy Spirit. Our reward will be crowns to throw at our Lord's feet.

Eternal salvation is just that - eternal.

How approximately: 4. we are saved by faith on my own, yet forget of works does impair our dating with God. Salvation is thru faith that Jesus Christ - God interior the flesh - died in our stead. on a similar time as salvation is thru faith on my own, our works DO rely. Our dating with God is a 2-way street. We shouldn't only get saved then take a seat back and don't something. we ought to continuously draw closer to God. we ought to continuously to desire to Him, compliment Him, have faith Him, and count on Him. we ought to continuously witness to non-believers and proportion the Gospel, and stay healthful lives, placing an occasion for others. we ought to continuously attempt to be Christ-like. those issues are not needed for salvation, yet our dating with God will go through if we don't do them. AND we are able to be judged by our works. some people who've served God relatively nicely will reign alongside Jesus. Others might have customary jobs a pair of rungs down the ladder in God's government.
