This could actually be a GOOD THING -- because he is stating a desire to help raise the son as a Responsible Parent should!

It means he promises he will be an active part of his son's life. This is a positive thing and is exactly what he should do. It has nothing to do with his ex wife and everything to do with his love for his son.

ask him. But i think he just wants his son in his life which means apart of his ex too which can be unforutenly and maybe his ex is finding it hard being a single mum ( evenif your husband is still around, not the same thing as sharing your day with him etc) hope this makes sense.

I think he means that they both will act as parents for their son and share the responsibility (even if they aren't together). As it should be.

relax. i'll bet he meant that he'll be a part of his life and take care of him.as his parents they need to make important decision's about their son together.
