I wear briefs, will this be okay in college?

I am starting college next year and I will be living in the dorms and sharing a room. Will I get picked on because I wear briefs? I do not want to start wearing boxers because I think briefs are more comfortable. Will the other students be mean to me? I don't want to get pantsed or a wedgie.

Dude... I think the fact that you'd ask this question on Yahoo Answers is probably more likely to get you a wedgie than wearing briefs....

That being said...

Try boxer briefs. They'll give you the support you're looking for, and are probably close enough to boxers to keep you out of atomic wedgie land.

I may be a 45-year-old female, but I too lived in a college dorm once upon a time. I can tell you that people really don't care what you wear because everyone is so different. If people pick on you for wearing briefs, then they are pretty immature to be in college. If you are worried about the appearance of briefs but still want comfort, I know of a couple men who absolutely love the feel of boxer briefs. They have the comfort of briefs but the look of boxers. The knit kind (versus the cotton) seems to be the ones they consider most comfortable.

Congratulations on your upcoming beginning of college. You are in for a challenging yet rewarding time of your life. Don't worry about what others think. Just be yourself and if they have a problem with what you are wearing, tell them they ought to have better things to worry about than the type of underwear you are wearing.

More guys wear briefs than you might think. If you like briefs, wear them. Not many people will be paying that much attention anyway. I would hope that they would be mature enough not to act like a 12 year old and give you a wedgie...that's so elementary!

Keep your underwear under your pants and who is going to know? Why should anyone care what kind of underwear you wear? Do you think you will be the only one in the dorm wearing briefs?

You could think about switching to boxer briefs.

Well Ben, It's ok to wear briefs but they don't give credits for wearing them. I never got a wedgie or pantsed in college because I never wore underware in school and still don't. It worked for me. GOOD LUCK!!!

Yeah, people in college usually move past that kind of stuff.

Actually, if you're anything like I was when I was your age (I can't believe I just said that! LOL), you'll probably be amazed at how much people change when they get out of high school. I knew people who were obnoxious and immature in high school. But then, I saw some of them the fall afterward, and they acted much more mature! It was like they went through six years of growing up in just four to five months. Weird.

Anyway, good luck with college. And to be honest, unless you walk around wearing only your underwear, most of your cohorts probably will not care what kind you are wearing.

Briefs are fine, as long as you wear the ones with the fire trucks on them...

If they are in the wash, Spongebob is an acceptable substitute.

At least you wear underwear. My bf in college didn't and the one I date now does not. I think it is SO weird. Your are very normal for wearing underwear and I wish I dated guys that did. hehe!
