I weighed 195 going in to H.S. I joined wrestling for fun, and got the unexpected benefits of loosing 15 lbs of weight. by my second season I was wrestling at 171 lbs.

The only bad part is that its hard!! I trained about 25-30hrs a week. It takes lots of dedication. Good luck

I am 55 and am 5'2". I weighed almost the same amount. It was awful. I felt like a "slug". I have been on a program called ISAGENIX. I have lost over 20 pounds in the past 5 weeks and am working on the next 20-30 pounds. It is safe and guaranteed. Check out the website below.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Watch your fat calories... if your calories are say 100, then you calories from fat, shouldn't be any more than 30... you want to keep it 30% and under... watch your calories, and exercise. Walk!
