Cardio three times a week, weights twice, interspersed. Calculate your calories needed to maintain your weight and subtract 200-300 a day. It only takes a few days to get over the cravings and old eating habits if you stick with a healthier diet and substitute healthy foods in place of unhealthy ones. Fruits and veggies are your ally in the fight against fat. Make sure you have three servings of veggies a day and at least one or two of fruits. High fiber veggies like broccoli help stave off hunger and keep you full longer.

Here are some quicktips to get you started
1. Don't eat after 18:00.
2. Substitute water for every other drink.
3. Don't eat candy.
4. When you can walk, do it. Bike, run, jog.
5. Sleep a lot. Sleep releases hormones that raise metabolism (Growth hormone et al)
Counting calories won't work if you eat them at the wrong time. Exercise won't work if you keep up with the candy. Both won't work if you eat right before you go to sleep. You'll get mediocre results if you don't sleep enough. Water will help quench thirst and get rid of unnecessary sugar calories.
Most important: SUCK IT UP AND JUST START!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I found a great program! It is called ISAGENIX! I am 55 years old and 5'2". Not only was I overweight, I felt like a "slug". In 5 weeks, I have lost 23 pounds and inches and feel like I am 40 again! I am committed to losing another 20-30 pounds. This program is guaranteed. It is healthy and safe. It is less expensive than others that don't really help you lose weight. You feel absolutely great.
