I am the "maid of honor" in my best friends wedding, but as Mexican's we don't really tend to have maid of honor, what are my duties, do I have to give a speech? She is actually having 2 receptions one in Mexico for the religous ceremony (approx: 500 guests), I have been helping her out with little things for the Mexico recption and another smaller one (250guests) in the USA for her Civil ceremony?

You're her right hand girl. You help with whatever she needs (go to fittings, help pick out cake, flowers, wedding favors, or not... whatever she needs) and you throw either the bachelorette party or the bridal shower. If her family does the shower, you do the party. You also help the family with knowing who of her friends to invite to the shower. You don't have to give a speech, the best man does that. You also help the bride with her bridesmaids especially if anyone is giving her a hard time about the dress or hairstyle... :-)

The maid of honor bascially helps the bride with whatever she wants help with. Traditionally, the maid of honour is also supposed to throw the bridal shower and bachelorette party if the bride wants one. She also stands up for her at the wedding and signs the marriage liscence as a witness. And, at every wedding i've been to (and been in), both the maid of honor and best man give a speech. Thats pretty much it.

Perhaps the Mexicans will have to take a well lengthy appear at what the whites did to the Indians earlier than they begin dishonoring the treaty they, as a country, signed with the U.S. The American Indians weren't a identified country; they signed separate treaties with the U.S. & sure, they had been all dishonored by means of the U.S. No topic, we desired their land & they needed to move. We desired the land from the Mexicans, they needed to move. Yes, the treaty used to be signed due to the fact that they misplaced the struggle with us however, additionally they knew they could not win in opposition to us. We had been discovered to have that land. They might as good recover from it. We aren't going to provide it again & we would possibly not allow them to are available to stick except they arrive by means of authorized manner. Here is a notion; what if we cause them to the 52nd state? Think they might like that? Imagine that!
