I am looking to find some ideas for a unique wedding bouquet. I have looked all over online, and I cannot really find anything that is sticking out. I have been to the knot and one wed, but if there are other websites, please let me know...

Here are my perameters...

I want to include lavendar roses, and I want it to be small. I want my bouquet to really only have about six roses and a few other things (but I am not sure what those things would be...). So my bridesmaid bouquets would have to be even smaller and simpler....

Any ideas? Thanks!

How about using a tussie mussie as your bouquet? A tussie mussie is a Victorian bridal bouquet, that is comprised of a small, compact cluster of flowers with bound stems creating an ultra-charming round bouquet. From a dainty fingertip bouquet to a more lavish creation, the Tussie-Mussie can be designed to be hand-held or slipped into your favorite vase. They have beautiful holders and are very unique...here are some bouquets that I thought were beautiful, maybe you can get some ideas from them

My bouquet is going to have a few calla lillies, orchids, and bells of ireland. Those would all look very nice with roses. You could have a bouquet of a few different flowers like that and then have the bridesmaids carry a very small bouquet of one type of flower in your bouquet. My bridesmaids are going to carry 3 callas tied together with nice ribbon.

The best thing to do is go to a flower shop and ask lots of questions. Thats what i did. Any flower shop should be happy to answer your questions and give you suggestions and ideas, and are usually capable of doing pretty much anything. You could also bring in pictures of things you like and have them change them to suit your likes, if need be. Make sure you do it asap though, so that you have enough of time for the flower shop to meet your needs, especially if they have to order in certain flowers for you.

Im plain scared to death of them. White no or low fragrence flowers would work best. There are roses with barely any fragrence. I was reading this link, and it says things to use will be things that are pollinated by the wind. Read these two links, then use google image search to see what each looks like. You may wind up having to bring in things from a garden shop to your florest to get them entwined into the bouquets or do them yourself. Michales crafts stores sell all the supplies to make your own, the holder, the ribbons etc.

I had lace fans with flowers attached. My bridesmaids dresses were different shades of purple and the flowers on the fan matched all three dresses. Fans can be smaller than bouquets.

Here are a few sites to check out. Basically your florist can help you out tremendously. Call and make a "bridal" appointment so they will be ready with all the books and ideas. Good luck and best wishes.

There are several things you can do. My daughter had lights in her Bq. and the brides maids had one cala lilly and one rose and the rest was greenery. They held them like miss america. I had umbrellas with a little flower and some greenery and lights in my Bq.I didn't have the umbrella. Mine was a tear drop Bq. Good luck and play with the flowers. Some people let their brides maids carry one single rose with lace and ribbon.

Look at some of the one's here - http://www.mandalaybay.com/thingstodo/floral_upgrade.aspx - specially the UP06 & UP13 & the OS01 & OS02 at same site. If you like either just call em - they're super-nice people & will help you even if you're not using their services.

Sounds like you want a posy. Maybe your bridesmaids could then carry a single flower.

You could try using less common plants in your bouquet such as ferns.

Play around with the flowers and make your own... go to the floral dept at Wal-Mart, get you some flowers and see how you like them together, make your own, I made all of mine... best of luck to you!
