the precise starting place of the marriage ring is unclear. even if it were a shown truth that pagans first used wedding ceremony earrings, ought to that rule such out for Christians? no longer inevitably. a lot of at present’s articles of clothing and aspects of existence originated in pagan lands. the hot time divisions of hours, minutes and seconds are in accordance to an early Babylonian gadget. yet, there isn't any objection to a Christian’s making use of those time divisions, for one’s doing so does no longer contain wearing on pretend non secular practices. The question isn't a lot even if wedding ceremony earrings were first utilized by pagans yet even if or not they were initially used as area of pretend non secular practices and nevertheless keep such non secular magnitude. As has been shown, the historic information does no longer enable for any definite bring about this. What does the Bible say about using earrings? The Bible shows that a number of God’s servants in the previous wore earrings, even ones that had particular meaning connected to them. wearing a signet ring ought to aspect out that one had received authority to act in behalf of the ruler who owned it. (Gen. 40-one:40 2; Num. 31:50; Esther 8:2, 8; interest 40 2:11, 12; Luke 15:22) So, even as wedding ceremony earrings aren't any more suggested, those real worshipers obviously did not scruple antagonistic to making use of earrings for more effective than mere adornment. some persons say that a wedding ceremony ring represents one’s endless love and devotion in marriage. The increasing divorce fee in numerous lands the position married persons typically positioned on a wedding ceremony ring proves that this meaning is more effective imagined than genuine. although, for the final public of persons, such as Christians, in lands the position wedding ceremony earrings are hassle-free, the ring is an outward indication that the wearer is a married individual. In different localities an similar aspect is shown in a unique way, which includes by a woman’s wearing a particular type of clothing. for sure, a wedding ceremony ring is by no ability a Christian requirement. One Christian would come to a decision no longer to positioned on a wedding ceremony ring, because of expertise of acceptable and incorrect, personal flavor, fee, nearby custom, or another reason. yet another Christian would come to a decision to educate his married status by technique of a wedding ceremony ring. hence, in the superb prognosis the alternative is a personal one, to be made in accord with the conscientious perspectives one holds.

I have been to near 150 weddings over the years (my family owned a cateing business).. I have seen :
Groomsmen push each other and the groom into a fountain...
A bridesmaid announce "I slept with the groom lastnight." while the bride and groom were exchanging vows at the altar..
A drunken guest picking up the cake and throwing it on the ground while yelling "Why did you marry him? I love you." (not sure what throwing the cake down added to the comment)
A drunken uncle of the bride peeing in the a decorative fern..
A grandmother announcing "They are only getting married because she is pregnant." quite loudly in the lull in music between the bridesmaids and the bride and her father...
A drunken staggering father of the bride attempting to walk her down the aisle.. (Luckily her grandfather stepped in and escorted her when her father passed out)
A Minister who couldn't remember the names of the bride or groom and hadn't written them down as he should have..
A bridemaid walking down the aisle while talking on a cell phone to her boyfriend...
A bride (Bridzilla) yelling from the back of the aisle correcting her bridesmaids pace and steps as they walked down the aisle...
and many many more...
I have also seen some really cute events..
A groom so nervous he looked into his brides eyes and couldn't say his vows everytime he tried to speak he just made a high pitches squeaking sound... (He had his vows written down his father stepped in and read them for him.. ) then he squeaked "Yes, all that." while tears streamed down his face..
A bride who broke the heel of her shoe while walking down the aisle.. (She almost burst into tears) Her father smiled and said "It's ok sweetheart." then carried her the rest of the way down the aisle...
A flower girl (age 4ish) walking down the aisle taking one flower petal out of her basket and setting (not dropping it) on the ground each step... When she reached the front of the aisle she had several petals left... She got a big tear in her eye and said " I did it wrong." then flopped down on the floor completely dejected... (She was quickly consoled, told she did a perfect job and told she could throw hand fulls of petals in the aisle on the way out)
A ring bearer (Nephew of the bride age 7 ish) carrying a pillow with fake rings, when he got to the front of the aisle he leaned over and whispered really loudly "Grandma (the mother of the bride) , Uncle Kevin (the groom) is cheap these are plastic rings. Do you think Aunt Jessie should marry him still?"
