"religion" is so damn complicated and contradictory i dont know how ANYONE can truly understand it. so...yes if someone is acting out in faith, even its it obviously wrong, they are being faithful in my opinion. keep in mind that there are alot of people who are mentally unstable " in the fold" to begin with.a command for "obedience' can definately perpetuate strange behavior in the name of god.

Religion is the reason for all the in-sanity or better said out-of-sanity of the planet earth or better said the planet aquarium. The planet is 75% water!

No, I think that they're just faithful to stupid things. All religions and branches don't teach love.
Faith, as a quality, is really overrated :( Believing in something with no evidence shouldn't be a "virtue"

people mess up and lose sight of the goal but that doesn't mean they are not faithful. People cannot be faithful 100% of the time. We are sinners and mess up. If they are trying to be faithful that is a good thing. they should expect to mess up but strive not to.

The flesh is weak. Faith comes from God and Jesus. Being prepared by them helps us to be stronger and draw us closer to them. They give us the things we need to have a stronger faith. If we are lacking in faith, then it means we need more confirmation that God and Jesus is there for us. That is when yoiu need to prepare yourself and get involved in church and around others whom have the same feeling about God and Jesus.(Which they always are)

If by faith you mean faith in God, then understanding faith does not admit any desire to do bad things.

I don't judge them by their faith. Only God knows our hearts, minds, and wills. We are all sinners. I'm a sinner and was born a sinner and there's nothing I can do to change that. But by faith we are saved from the Grace of God. Its Satan who trys to bring us to destruction.

No, I think they've just come to different conclusions than people who do "good" things.
And as your last question was referring to doing violence against others, I'd also like to say that to the people who believe it is their religious duty to do such, they believe they are "good" acts, which throws that whole moral dichotomy into the subjective realm.

It is Impossible to use FAITH to do evil and wicked.
You use FEAR to pull those off.
Faith works by Love.
GOD=Love
Faith works by GOD.
GOD does not O.K. the use of FAITH (the substance of things hoped for) for Evil and Wicked.
Ditto..................

They make their own religion inside their heads and use their real religion to hide.
