GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Hamas militants have enlisted a figure bearing a strong resemblance to Mickey Mouse to broadcast their message of Islamic domination and armed resistance to their most impressionable audience — children

giant black-and-white rodent — named "Farfour," or "butterfly," but unmistakably a rip-off of the Disney character — does his high-pitched preaching against the U.S. and Israel on a children's show each Friday on Al-Aqsa TV, a station run by Hamas. The militant group, sworn to Israel's destruction, shares power in the Palestinian government.

"You and I are laying the foundation for a world led by Islamists," Farfour squeaked on a recent episode of the show, which is called "Tomorrow's Pioneers."

"We will return the Islamic community to its former greatness, and liberate Jerusalem, God willing, liberate Iraq, God willing, and liberate all the countries of the Muslims invaded by the murderers."

Why are you attributing the efforts of a terrorist group to Muslims, in general? That is the work of mainstream media. They will never show Muslims doing anything positive. They will never show them denouncing terrorism.

This is the same media that constantly plays up crimes involving firearms. They will never report when a firearm is used to prevent a crime. According to the FBI, people use a firearm more than one million times each year to prevent crimes. But this is not considered newsworthy.

As long as you opinions are formed for you by our national media, you will be one of the millions who cheer as our politicians destroy the Bill of Rights. You need to be a little more sceptical.

It IS inappropriate to preach hatred to kids regardless of faith.
As for the particular news or incident you are talking about I CANNOT form an opinion about it or reply to you unless I know THE WHOLE picyure THE whole context and the entire reality of the issue. We can not comment on it just by looking at this tiny bit we have to look at the big picture.
We in America do not REALLY have even a minor idea about whats happening in the world. Our Kids here in USA are so confident, they do not fear anything as they are under the care of the super-power .... I feel sorry for the kids who live in countries that are at constant war .... I`m sure they live and grow under constant fear and are not confident ..... if your kids were growing under these conditioins , how would you boost their confidence ? I actually feel sorry for these children and nothing else .... not cois if they are taught hatred but becos of the conditions they are growing in even if they are not taught haterd, they are the victim of hatred that is amongst the leaders of various nations .

It is strange indeed to hear a Jew claim that he is opposed to preaching hatred to children. Jewish children are taught hatred of all other peoples from the age of four. They are taught they are members of a super-race. They are taught that 6 billion humans are unclean. Incidentally,I had the pleasure of seeing Jerusalem in 1966 and the displeasure of seeing it in 1997. It is completely destroyed but for a handful of monuments and I'm not certain it is the intent of the current powers to even maintain those. I would welcome the liberation of Jerusalem - by Hamas or anyone. Perhaps they would be so kind as to rip out the Wall, the grotesque apartment complexes and all the strip malls, and rebuild a few villages of stone cottages. By the way,if care so deeply about this ongoing atrocity in occupied Palestine, why aren't you there? The U.S. spends billions per year to defend the alleged "homeland for Jews" so what in hell are you doing in Texas?

Yes it is absolutely terrible, and I would never think that that is the right message to send to children that follow Islam, thats why I know the people who are trying to brainwash these children ARE NOT TRUE MUSLIMS. We definately believe killing off bunches of people for "righteousness" is wrong.

It's a horrible message to send to children. People shouldn't use children as pawns in their hate war proganda campaigns.
