I am a Mom, I live in California and I have a six year old daughter. My daughter has just informed me that a 14yr old boy (her step-father's cousin) had kissed with his tongue. As she is stating this she mentioned that she was used to it. So I believe it is not the only time this has happened. I called the Sheriff's department to report it, apparentally it is not against the law for a 14yr old boy to french kiss a 6yr old child. I don't understand how there was no law being broken. I called Child Protective Services and they stated it was out of there jurisdiction because they don't live together. I feel like no one is doing anything about this. What if he does it again? What if its not all that he has done? The deputy said if I want him to talk with my child and then the 14yr he would...your d*mn right I do! Is it like this everywhere? Is it ok for teenages to french kiss children? Someone please help me understand....

maybe this is the grey line between something illegal and legal? age is a huge factor here, but i think different states have laws on the "age of consent" but this applies to sexual intercourse, not french kissing or kissing. stay aware of when this 14 year old boy is near... don't let them be together by themselves w/o adults nearby. make sure your daughter understands why this is not ok and that she needs to tell you immediately. BTW, the 14 year old is sick.

I am so sorry you haven't been able to get any help with this, so what you need to do is take this into your own hands... you need to contact the mother of this 14 year old and inform her that her son is a perv, and then keep him away from your daughter. Yes, it's probably going to cause problems in the family, but I would rather cause the problems and inform them of whats going on, then have it happen again. Best of luck to you darlin.

I would sit the boy and his parents along with your husband (your daughters step-dad) down and have a talk about what is going on. If you have not asked your daughter if anything else has happened do so before - if you have and nothing is - good. If you have and there is - then something should be able to be done about it. But I really would sit them down and talk to them all about it. They may not know what is going on.

This doesnt sound appropriate. Inform the boy's parents. Make sure the parents are aware of the boy act. Next, ask your daughter to stay away from the boy or maybe you could tell the boy that it is inappropriate to do such thing and etc.

of course it isnt--you even have to ask? take him aside and scare the hell out of him -if it were me i would break his ******* arm--he is trying to get her used to being intimate--it is not 'innocent'-- it means a prelude to oral sex, so do not leave her side, except when she's at school. the 'authorities' wont do a thing until its too late. but if you merely slap her you'd be in big trouble, makes no sense so never lean on our corrupt authorities.

You should be talking to the step-father about this situation. Then, stop taking her over there.

That is wrong and it should be against the law! Your daughter is simply too young! You must fight back! INSIST that this isn't appropriate!
