next summer i'm going to India for about 2 months, is it allowed to take a dog from the United States over there? If so, what will the conditions on the plane be for it, thanks.

I think he would have to be quarantine for a while. That's how it used to be at least. I don't think it's worth it for your dog. Find a person you can trust and pay them something to watch him or find a doggy hotel.

I hear horror stories about people's pets on airplanes. Also since you are going to another country he/she could be in quarantine when you get there and also when you come back.

I would make sure to make arrangements for your dog to be taken care of at home or in a boarding facility.

how big a dog? if teeny chihuaha & its box will fit under seat, you may be able to take in cabin. Otherwise, will go in cargo hold, will be pressurized like cabin & captain will turn on heater to keep it comfy.

if it was my dog...I would find somebody to look after it & leave it home!
