In the Middle East where many countries have various religious factions, this is what I always want to know about?

According to one - it's the other that is always starting the problems...

Are some of these faiths closer friends than others?
In which countries is this true?

It depends more on the person and sect than the religion.

i guess it depends on how you define "get along". Most religions make some noise at the top about accepting other religions, but most preach that they are saved and everyone else is going to hell.

Christians have many different views among themselves, much less allowing for Jews (Orthodox or Ultra-orthodox?) or Buddhists. It seems to me that Muslims hate everyone who doesn't believe in Mohamed (but don't draw a picture!) to the point of blowing up statues and cutting infidels heads off.

You could clump them together in groups that accept the Old Testament, those that accept both the New and the Old Testament, and those that accept both of them and more.

The Buddhists and Hindus seem to fall into a special group of not having any of those texts, and I think they have fairly common values of enlightenment and non-violence (never mind the wars).

A fundamental thing to note is that atheists feel superior to all of them. Faith is the cause of most of the worlds problems, so you can lump them all together that way.

All I know is Muslims criticize others religions on a regular basis but as soon as somebody criticizes Muslims .. You'll see death threats, bombs threats, huge riots with people chanting Death to the west! Nobody else usually make a big deal.. I live in the middle East and have spent alot of time over here.... and some comments about it I will keep to myself so I wont offend. By the way ...so you don't get the wrong Idea.... Theres good and bad Muslims like every other religion. The good Muslims are incredible people who will be life long friends... the bad muslims will blow everything you say out of proportion, then threaten you and your country... and of course by doing so give good muslims a bad rep.

Well, I think in any religion pointing blame at others, is not a good thing. I consider myself a Christian and I do not blame any other religion for anything. I get along with everyone no matter what their beliefs are. I think that anyone who follows a certain religion and then talks bad about another is degrading the religion that they themselves follow.

It's the Jews, they are a Peace loving people without an ancient history of violence against those not sharing the same faith. Haven't you noticed they have only gone to battle in defense of their home land

via fact maximum religious ideals are absolute. "in case you do not have self assurance what we've self assurance then you're going to hell hence you're evil." human beings additionally desire different to alter so as that they war to tension their faith on others and while human beings do no longer bend they get indignant. If human beings ought to easily settle for that human beings are going to be distinctive and there is not any longer something we are able to do to alter that we'd be ok. Too undesirable lifestyles isn't that easy. it somewhat is sort of humorous how in some incidents human beings have friends who're from distinctive religious backgrounds yet as an entire they seem to hate that religious group.

Jews flourished in all the Muslim countries for a thousand years but that ended when it became clear their "settlements" in Palestine were the vanguard of an effort to take over the place and displace the natives who were are of course Muslims. Christian minorities were tolerated also, but again thanks to the situation in Palestine, hostility towards Christians has grown since they are seen as supporters of the Israeli government. Muslims are essentially obligated to fight Hinduism since it's involves idol worship. Other than all this, everybody gets along fine.
