Hello I am going to be a mom! However I have just learned that the state insurance aide I applied for did'nt accept me because I make too much money. What they fail to see is that i barely have enough money to pay for my bills as it is. The insurance i applied for is Healthwave. I really am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I live in Wichita, Kansas, and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about reduced/free insurance in the area. i am going to try my hardest to not go to clinics, although i certainly dont mind as a last resort. so if anyone has info out there it would be so helpful to me! I would contact your department of health and human services. I was on Medicaid during my first pregnancy, and a state aide called CHP+ during my second. It stands for Child Health Plan Plus, they cover you and your children. I don't know if it's available in Kansas, but the Dept of Human Services will know. Good luck. You'll find something. Enlist help-- my mother in law helped me find my CHP doctors because I was too emotional and overwhelmed ;) You'll get through it.

Contact you family and children services. (That is what it's called in Georgia) They would have some type of program/insurance that could help you. Congrats, on the mom to be!!

In Cali, if you don't qualify for "Medical" (Which covers 100% of medical costs) you can apply for "Healthy Families or IEHP". (Where you pay small co-payments) Check with your social program and see if they have an alternative for mothers who make too much but not enough.

go online and do some research. your state or even some hospitals will have maternity programs that will help you out. i just went and typed in maternity benefits in kansas and had several links come up. good luck!

cut out some of your bills. get rid of those credit cards and stop shopping so much buy second hand clothes and shoes and try to get some insurance from your job or take a second job babies are very very expensive. and go to the doctor alot get insurance soon
