Just wanted to pose a question. I have had long hair most of my life alternating between pin straight and silky, to bouncy curls, and even silky dreads all in an attempt to keep variety with my hair. Now after 20 years of long hair I want to chop it all off, however like most women with long hair I am very afraid of the outcome. Most people tell me to just leave my hair it's beautiful and I should be happy, and not one guy I asked said that they like short hair on girls. My bf even said that he would be weirded out if I had really short hair. Do guys really not like short cropped looks on girls? I am mixed and have naturally soft curly hair and am thinking of going as short as Halle Berry in Die another day, any thoughts?

i used to have long hair, it was halfway down my back...i always wondered what it would be like to have short hair, because i felt it would better suit my personality...about 6 years ago, i decided to cut it...i`ve always enjoyed being experimental with my hair & often tried new crazy styles/colors in the past in order to look more original...i had my hair cut to chin length, & as timed progressed, i just kept getting it cut shorter & shorter...i luv it!!! i must admit, i`ve had much more attention from guys now, i think because my hair suits my features & personality better!!! it`s about 1/2" all around, except for my bangs, which are extremely long & hot pink (the rest of my hair is dark brown/almost black)...my boyfriend luvs it, we bought clippers & he likes to help me cut it!!! i`ll never go back to long hair, i hate it now!!! it really highlights my facial piercings, so obviously i like that aspect as well!!!

My hair is Halle Berry short and I love it. I get lots of compliments from men and women. If your hair is long now and you cut it off really short you will not like it. You have to get use to it. The key is gradual cuts until you get to where you want. I never like it at first because it is so different from what you are use to. Take it slow and give yourself time to learn weather you actually like it or not. I have never had a guy to be turned off by my hair. Some even have said don't ever grow it back out, now no more tangles. Good luck and go for it.

a women with short hair has a look of confidence, that is very attractive, just keep in a normal color. short hair looks better with minimal highlights. it looks classy when dressed up also.

it depends on your facial features and your weight, long hair makes your face look thinner while short hair plumps the face, most guys i know like women with long to medium short hair at least to their mid neck area real short hair is a turn off to most guys, if they wanted someone with short hair they'd get with a guy
