As for the comment about not wanting your child to kiss other people on the lips, well I don't let me daughter kiss anyone besides my husband and me. We live away from family so there's no reason for her to be kissing anyone else. So that's not an issue!!

I kiss all 3 of my children on the lips and so does my husband. Enjoy the kisses while you can get them because once they reach a certain age, they don't even want to be seen with their parents

I kiss my two grown girls 22 and 27 on the lips because they never became uncomfortable with it and I kiss my 14 year old daughter that I'm adopting on the lips because right now she is in 4 years old mode because her old parents used to abuse her and she is scared so she acts like she is 4 years old but when she gets out of this and if she is uncomfortable with it then I will stop.

There is nothing wrong with giving your children a little peck kiss on the lips. I have a 5 year old son, and he gets little pecks on the lips once in a while from me, his dad and grandparents. Too me that shows them a sign of love. As for the person that said it can be a sign of sexual abuse at bedtime is full of it. Sexual abuse can happen at anytime day or night.

I kiss my 8mo old son on the lips and see nothing wrong with it. Even for kids a little older. His father is not comfortable with the idea but I respect that and it doesn't bother me. I would love someday for my son to learn how to give kisse's, I will melt the day he does. But of course I do that with every new thing! Enjoy your children!!!

I kiss my daughter on the lips.I kiss my cousin little boy that is almost like my son on the lips because when he goes to give you a kiss that is all he will give you. I run and in home day care and I kiss those children on the cheek or forehead.

more often than not, kissing a baby is an illustration of love, and children study it from the doing and the gazing. little ones whom are comfortable with it, or whom come from a subculture that are socially affectionate, will proceed to kiss their moms and dads on the lips. good success!

I don't kiss my kids on the lips...they are 9 and 4. My 9 year old asked me why I don't kiss her on the lips. I really didn't have an answer. I don't know why I don't, maybe cause my mom didn't. It seems creepy to me. But I don't think its a problem if other parents kiss their kids on the lips....to each his own (as long as its not sexual).

I kiss my kids on the lips all the time (just pecks, nothing torrid), and will continue to so while are still young. I don't kiss others' kids' lips, though, that would be weird for me.

I kiss my son on the lips (he's a baby). My husband does that because he thinks it's odd. We discussed it and realized that in my family, people kiss their kids on the lips and in his they don't. I think either way is fine and neither is strange.

Like you said, it isn't a long lingering kiss, of course! Just a little "mwhah!" kiss.

How could I resist? He's so cute!

I don't see anything wrong with it.
I'm 20, and I still kiss my aunt and grandmother on the lips. Nothing more than a peck. As for my dad, I usually kiss him on the cheek, but I don't think anything is "perverted" about it.
