I would take the puppy to the vet ASAP if she hasn't had her Parvo Vaccine. Diarrhea is a symptom of Parvo, which can kill puppies very fast. I wouldn't take the chance. If she is under 4 months, she hasn't had the vaccine yet. They can get it from the ground where other dogs have been, even from people's shoes.
I hope she's OK.

Is she a new puppy? If so maybe the food you are giving him/her is something different then what the previous owner was feeding the puppy. Or maybe it got into something outside! Give it a few days everything should be ok! If not then maybe you should take the puppy to the vet. Make sure it doesnt get dehydrated!
Good Luck!

You didn't give much information. I would have liked to have known the age of the puppy and how long you have had it. Diarrhea can be a symptom of many many problems. The suggestion would be to get the dog to your vet and have him tell what the problem might be.

All puppies are born with worms!! They get them from their mother. All puppies have to be dewormed sometimes as many as 4-5 times before you get rid of all of them. There are many different types of worms. Round worms they are thin spaghetti like parasites. They can stunt the puppy's growth. Puppies can have vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration and can even get pneumonia. Hook worms are dangerous intestinal parasites. They are transmitted from the mother to the puppies. The worms can fasten themselves to the dog's small intestines. They can produce anemia, poor appetite and black tarry stools. The puppy can even act like it is tired all the time. Whip worms these parasites settle in the dog's digestive tract causing chronic bowel inflammation, weight loss and diarrhea. Tape worms are due to dogs swallowing fleas. They are small and look like rice. These worms feed on the intestines causing the dog wanting to eat more without gaining weight. Coccidia is caused from puppies eating raw meat. Can get diarrhea, fever, weight loss and poor appetite.
If you can I would try and get a stool specimen and take it with you when you take the puppy to the Vet.
I have a 3 month old Lab puppy. The breeder told us to feed her Purina Pro Plan for puppies. This is supposed to be good for their digestive system!
Puppies can become nervous easily and that can make them have loose stools. They get upset easily if there are any changes in the house.
I have given my puppy Pepto-Bismol as far as how much you should call your Vet to make sure how much. Make sure the puppy is up to date with all its shots too!!
Good Luck

Hello...could be she is finding something to chew that she shouldn't..look for chew signs, food wrappers on the floor, plant diggings...etc..check her gums if they're nice & pink not all white, that's a good sign they aren't bleeding internally...also dogs can take pepto bismal 1 tsp per 5 lbs every 6 hours or half a tab @ a time too...don't panic too badly, it's no uncommon for pups to have more sensitive tummys, if she's drinking water, that's very good...& they will chew ...ANYthing..LOL !!Take Care :)

Could be worms. Pupppy's can get ill really quickly so I'd take her to the vet to be safe.
