I think God is more powerful than most people think. Our minds are not big enough to truly grasp the true power of God.

For with you great strength abides always;
who can resist the might of your arm?
Indeed, before you the whole universe is as a grain from a balance,
or a drop of morning dew come down upon the earth.
But you have mercy on all, because you can do all things;
and you overlook the sins of men that they may repent.
(Wisdom 11:21-23)

Most Monotheists including Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe that God is omnipotent (all powerful).

God's almighty power is in no way arbitrary: "In God, power, essence, will, intellect, wisdom, and justice are all identical. Nothing therefore can be in God's power which could not be in his just will or his wise intellect." (St. Thomas Aquinas, STh I, 25, 5, ad 1)

In other words, God can do anything that is logically possible and is consistent with his other attributes.
