My grandmother told me that popcorn has been recalled due to the butter spray used on it. She said it causes lung deterioration. I have not heard anylhing about this, nor can I find any info. Does anyone know anything? Are there specific brands?

I have not heard of a recall on popcorn, but I have heard that the workers in the factory are at risk due to breathing in high levels of butter flavoring.

I found a lawyer site that is talking about injuries to people who make the butter spray flavoring for popcorn, from breathing the fumes during production. I don't see anything about ahrming eaters.

If you are harmed by it you can call this guy who would be glad to sue someone for you.

I can't eat popcorn with that fake butter. But I did hear something about it not being good for you.

I can't imagine how eating popcorn can deteriorate lungs, haven't heard that one.
Maybe they don't want people to snort it.
