its better to get a exspensive phone card because when you call on either end it is very exspensive, take from some one that has a boy friend over seas right now

I suggest you ask your son to buy a cell phone in Iraq, with free incoming call freature. Then you call him from here, the best card I found is www.pingo.com - 17c/min with no extra fee.

There are a lot of soldiers use cell phones there, they'll turn it off when it's not safe to talk. Meanwhile, when they do have time, they don't have to wait in the long line to call home.

You can buy a plan form Cingular that allows nation wide calls, but its a lot. Still cheaper than 3 dollars a min.

You can use the expensive satellite phone.

Or the best choice is buy a web cam and mic, and talk to each other through AOL Instant Messenger.

any international card or set up a cell phone with world talk. cingular has a plan for active duty but he cant get it since he is out of the country
