First off, this is not the place to ask this question - you should be in the movie section.

Secondly, although I suspect you're posting this question here just to be stupid, I'll answer it anyway.

1. Johnny Depp is not Charlie, he's Willy Wonka
2. Charlie is the little boy who visits the chocolate factory
3. It's called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory because that's the name of the original book and . . .
4. There was already a "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" made in the early '70's with Gene Wilder.

Get it now?

Because the movie is based on a book entitled "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" When they made the first movie they changed the name from Charlie to Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. When they made the second movie they changed it back. Johnny Depp is Willy Wonka Charlie is the little boy. Have you even seen either movies?

Willy Wonka is Johnny Depps character who is the owner of the worlds best chocolate factory.
Charlie is the young boy who brings his grandfather on the tour he won with the golden ticket.
The other children are Veruca, Violet, Mike, and Augustus who get to tour the factory and by various means... well, I'm not going to spoil anything.

Personally I like the original better with Gene Wilder... which is called Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

charlie was theyoung boy who dreamed a dream and then lived his dream. he won the golden ticket and then, even though he was poor, would not sell out a man he thought was cruel. he stood by his morals - no matter how hard. in the end - he won the whole factory and everything.

I prefer the 1971 version, you can never surpass the original, especially with a story as great and Willy Wonka!
