Ok so i made some barbecue chicken in the oven , but for some reason i think that i did not have enough bbq sauce cause it just doesn't have that bbq taste instead it tase kind of bland , any ideas on how i could make this better rather than bland , don't have anymore bbq sauce , i have company comming soon any ideas, pllllllllllleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaasssssssse

Sprinkle a little paprika or cumin on the chicken to perk up the flavor. Either one will add some zing to it.

Or, if you have something like Louisiana hot sauce, brush a little on each piece with a pastry brush or a paper towel. Don't add too much: the idea is just to give the bland chicken a little zip, not overpower the flavor.

Make a quick BBq Sauce
On Stove top in sauce pan
mix 1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar or mollasses
1 tbs mustard
1-2 tsp worsechestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Cook over med/low for 10- 15 minutes pour over chicken

It won't taste like BBQ in the oven you have to have it outside in a real bbq where it can be smoke then it will taste like it.

You really need more sauce -- ck out the link.....lots of recipes for sauce (so you don't have to go buy any) -- don't know what flavor your BBQ sauce was, so find one that is close! Good Luck!!

you could cut up the chicken and roll it in tortillas and serve with salsa and sour cream. Or you could use it for a chicken salad or make hearty sandwiches with a spicy mayo. Don't bake it again, b/c it will get too dry. Good Luck...

i hate to say it but the problem is that bbq needs to be done on the bbq.not the oven.
if u put maranade on it before cooking it might be salvagable

You can add some Catalina dressing it makes it kind of sweet and tangy.
