Im not talking about couples who say 'what do you think of this hun?' but women who will speak to other women in patronizing tones like - ' you really shouldnt wear that hun' etc etc. As if they think they are such know it alls.

Found it rather spooky when the gas attendant would refer to me as "darlin'". I told my husband about it, he though it was funny.

"Hello darlin', what'll it be today darlin', check under the hood darlin', need some air in that tire darlin', thanks darlin', good-bye darlin'.

I used to cringe when I went to get gas (only place close enough) and Darlin' was there. Never failed to call me "darlin'". Aaargh.

Yes it does...

I have found that saying something like "Is that what you think , Snookie Oodle Ookums". Usually cures even the most persistant "Hun", "Darlin" or "Sweetie" utterer...

yes, omgsh hate that. just wanna hit them in the face and then be like "didn't ya like that one hun?" hahah

Yes, I hate it. They sound like they are much older and wiser.......which they probably aren't.
