any vegetable gardeners out there? what is the best tasting tomato?

Beefsteaks are the best for sandwiches, Romas are good for salads or sauces, and Sweet 100's for salads or snacking. Heirlooms are good for eating straight with a little balsamic and basil.

Early girl, roma, patio, sweet 100, beefsteak are all very tasty.Most people have a fave but it is important to pick them at the right time. Pick them when they are red and firm, wash them gently, dry them, and let them rest in a bed of brown paper for a day or two. A lot of people like to sprinkle a bit of salt on a slice of tomato. Try a pinch of sugar instead, it makes the tomato taste...well, like heaven!!! It is a fruit, after-all.

Heirloom tomatoes are the only way to go! I hardly ever get to indulge in these beautiful bits of heaven because they are pretty pricey at the market. I must say that they are well worth the price though. This season we're hoping to grow our own!

I grow Early Girls, Roma's and Lemon Boy's every year, and I love the Lemon Boys the best! A little less acidic, a little sweeter. I really Love all tomatoes, but those Lemon Boys are my faves.

i have planted many different kinds of tomatos and i think by far the best tasting is the plum tomato. it has the most flavor and grows wonderfully.

My mother swears by Mr. Stripey tomatoes. You can by the plants at wal-mart, lowes, and other places.
