You are waiting on God to work things out in His time and according to His purpose. The verse is encouraging you to be patient and trusting.

God will keep His promises. He will never leave us.

God has a personal name. Adam knew God’s Divine Holy Name and then He made the deeper meaning of His name known to Moses.

In ancient Hebrew His name is spelled
YHWH which in English is translated with a J for a Y as in Jesus' real name Yhshua.

YHWH/Jehovah is in *all* the oldest mss extant and appears in the original Scriptures nearly 7,000 times!
Wicked men have removed His personal name and replaced it with mere titles of 'god' and 'lord', perhaps in an attempt to confuse people into upholding the un-Scriptural teaching of the pagan trinity.

Everywhere you see LORD is a place where God's personal Holy Divine Name belongs but has been sinfully blotted out from view!

Here are some links about God's name, it's pronunciation variations and why it is important to use His name.

start with this major "christian" figure:

and here's the Catholic encyclopedia:

then heres a whole book about it!

then another Christian website

And yet another:

And the list goes on:

try to find an older printing of the Bible; *any* translation printed before 1950 should have the real name of Christ's Father, the true Almighty God in many places, especially in Exodus 6:3 and Psalms 83:18 and then see what Jesus relationship is to Jehovah at Acts 3:13. To remove God's Divine Holy name whether represented as JHVH, JEHOVAH, YHWH or YAHWEH is Satan's doing and a grievous sin!

agape!

In this song, David is fearing his enemies. He trusts that the Lord will protect him, but still he is fearful. In his fear, the Lord prove himself true and faithful. He experienced the courage and strength of heart because God came through. When we are afraid and my even doubt, we must trut the promises of God. We must WAIT for the Lord to prove Himself faithful to his promises of protection and provision.

Your question should be one of the following:

"On whom do we wait?"

"For whom to we wait?"

"Whom do we wait on?"

"Whom do we wait for?"

By putting both prepositions, you leave the prepository question ambiguous. In other words, are we waiting ON somebody, or are we waiting FOR somebody?

Sorry, but I don't wait on fictional characters in ancient books.

Religion is just organized superstition.
