I remove the intake...makes its very easy. Just be careful nothing gets into the engine and replace the intake gaskets. Get a Haynes or Chilton manual at an auto parts store and see what it says. These books are a great resource.

it can't be both,
260 v8 takes the Autolite BF-42
and
170,200 six's take the Autolite BF-82 according to the owners manual.
there may be a substitution to a modern number

the ranchero i had the even spark plugs were the most common the oil leaks were even worse

All auto departments have books, that tell you which spark plug goes with what. Just look, or ask the salesman.
