Nothing in Dutch, English, French or German, as far as I know.

The only thing it reminds me of is "Amish", but they take their name from that of Jacob Amman (c. 1656 – c. 1730), a Swiss-German Mennonite leader.

Indian youths think positive about independence day.But there is a lot to do to reshape the country to reach the maximum benefit to make good of the Great independence we attained 62 years back. Even -though we have attained much in our IT sector, industries, power sectors, infrastructure, education etc ; the most major part of the Indian rural Society still remains below poverty line and are also exploited by the learned Urban society, and politicians without any mercy. In spite of gaining from this age of globalization and the flat world, the regional thinking's and the religious thinking's has effected our country negatively. I think it has reduced our patriotism. It's not passe; it is to be carried by the generation to generation with out the aid of regional and religious thinking's. India is a democratic republic. We have the right to remain free and equal in right. FREE doesn't means to hurt others through terrorism. Why should we be persuaded by the terrorist groups? because of the lack of patriotism. So we have to develop a new method of education to make the coming generation patriotic. Freedom means to me something without EVILS.
