It's possible. But it's also possible that she's playing with them or bringing them to you as presents.

Let me get this straight. CAT...............BABY BUNNIES.
If I remember correctly, the formula for this is.
Cat + Baby Rabbit x Enough Time = ...Dead Baby Rabbit.
Yeah, I'm sure that's right. I could tell you a couple of stories from past experience, but because I don't want to upset you too much I won't. It's natural for cats to hunt. They can't help it. Your cat must be very old or very young or the inevitable would have already happened. Good news is, rabbits grow up fast. Keep her in about a week or so and the will be able to out run her.

Hi there. Yes, I too had a cat who ATE baby bunnies. Though your kitty hasn't eaten any yet she probably will at some point. She's just doing what cat's are supposed to do. Sad I know, but unfortunately for the bunnies that's how it is. Keep up the awesome job of rescuing the little ones but don't be surprised or angry with your kitty when she finally does succeed.

Most likely yes... I've heard that cats do eat baby rabbits. I wouldn't take any chances; I'd put the bunny and the cat in separate rooms right now, at this very moment.

She is showing you how strong and tough she is, and what a good provider she is for you. She actually thinks she is bringing you gifts! Since she hasn't killed any of them, she isn't wanting them for herself.
Don't praise her for it, but don't overly punish her either. A firm no should be enough...I can't guarantee it will stop, but it might. And you might want to hold on to the bunnies and take them to the vet--now that they have been removed from their mommy and touched by other animals (and probably you), there is a good chance that they will either die on their own or be killed by their mother because of you and the cat's scents.

I assume these are wild bunnies, she is bringing you gifts. I would try to keep her inside until the bunnies are able to get out of their nest. Hopefully she has not run the mommy off because if she has, either the babies will die or you will have to bring them in and try to feed them. If you try to help them, babie bunny can really hop and can jump out of a box. call the vet.

She probably isn't meaning to kill them, but it has been my experience that it is in most housecats nature to play with something to death(although some more wild outdoor cats WILL eat them), so it is probably good you are taking them away. She is either bringing them to you to say "Look what I got .." or she may very well think they are like her babies(like little girls play with babydolls). I used to have a cat that killed a mother mouse by playing with it to death, then sat on the babies, like she was their mother. Cats are funny.

my moms cat went through a entire nest of jack rabbits by just playing with them. i don't think she meant to kill them but bunnies can't play like a cat can so keep an eye on her but my biggest concern is that the mommy is being ran off and unable to care for the babies with your cat hanging out at the nest.

NO, she is not trying to kill them. She is bringing you a present. Be glad it is bunnies. It could be moles.......The only way she would kill it is by playing too hard with them. She is trying to please you and bringing it all home............
I would try and keep her separate from them just because of ticks and fleas that the babies probably have.

No, if she were trying to kill them they would already be dead. She probably wants to play with them, or maybe even mother them. I would try to keep her away from them anyway because she may injure and kill the babies by accident.
