I have a java chat room open and am sitting alone making alterations
I think God has spoken to me through the chat
it says " FLOOD WARNING "

seriously does anyone have any idea what this means in regards to java ?

It is like putting too much gas into the car when starting it, it will flood it out. Try to put information gradually in or you will lose some of it because it will oveflow the system.

It must be some Bot there to warn you.....when you are posting more than what the channel allows then it gives such warning...depends upon the settings of that room.sometimes people get dc for flooding......means for pasting something in more quantity !

I believe that it means that you are entering too much information into the servers then what Java can handle. Try not to do too much at one time so that you won't get that message anymore.
