Does it mean if you are a bad person...bad things will happen to you?

What about good people, that bad things have happened to...are they really not as good as we think they are? Did they sow bad seeds?

There are several scriptures about reaping what we sow. The one I believe you mean is Galatians 6: 7, "Do not be mislead. God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap."

The next couple verses explain are actions produce fruit or results based on what our values are. Material values don't last and rot. Maintaining proper spiritual values produce results that last forever.

I'm going to spiritualize my answer from a Christian perspective since you are asking in R&S. There are lots of ways of looking at this. If you are looking for a secular explanation, try posting in philosophy. Seed = God's Word (scripture) Sowing seed is sharing God's Word for the benefit of others. These seeds germinate and grow into a plant which produces fruit or more seed, leading to more sharing of the Word for the glory of God. God will be the one doing the harvesting when the time comes. In short, be generous in sharing the Word of God, but don't expect a result each time. You are just passing by, sprinkling seed on the ground. The condition of the ground they fall on matters. Read Matthew Chapter 13 and the parable of the sower.

Galatians 6:7--"Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." It's another way of saying that you get back what you put out, or, "what goes around, comes around."

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Gal 6:7-8. If man sows sin, he will reap death, but if he sows righteousness, he will reap eternity.

It means what ever you do you will get the reaction. Karma It is one of the last bits Constantine forgot to take out on Karma. SO it doesn't matter if you are saved you will still have to suffer the reaction of your misdeeds from this life and the last. Why is one child born sick or blind poor and another wealthy and healthy, because they did something to deserve that. God doesn't just say eeny Meany miney moe, you get this for no reason and you get that for no reason. That is not God. Everything is based on our previous actions. For the original New Testament before king Constantine added and deleted so many things go to gospelofthenazirenes.com Jesus originally taught karma, reincarnation, vegetarianism and no one goes to hell eternally, One has to understand all this to understand Gods unlimited love and mercy.

There you have everything in the Bible about sowing and reaping.

Pretty pitiful!

Not everything in the world happens for a reason. Chance still has a major role in our lives.
If everything happened for plain reasons neither insurance or religion would be needed.
The success of quantum mechanics hinges on the fact that only probabilities can be calculated. It is impossible to say what an individual particle is going to do.
The same truth applies to humans. I might be able to make a good guess at how a county will vote, but how any random voter is going to vote is a quantum event.
