Sounds like a misfire. Misfires are really noticeable in 4 and 6 cylinder engines. With a 4 cylinder, you lose 25% of your power when a cylinder misfires. I assume this because you say it vibrates when it stops. A wheel, brake, or alignment problem will go away when you stop.
Bring it back to the dealer and see it they will work with you. As this is a 2005, I assume it is used. I bet there was a big "As is - no warranty" label in the window. This label means exactly as it states, the dealer doesn't have to give a used car a warranty, as long as it is stated on a window sticker.
If the car was sold "As is - no warranty" and the dealer won't fix it, you are on your own. Find a reputable mechanic that won't rip you off.
It's too late now, but you should have had a mechanic look at the car before you bought it. This is advisable whenever you are seriously considering buying a used car.

The vibration when driving over 45 miles per hour is probably from one of two things. Either your wheels are out of balance or you need an alignment. Have the wheel balance checked out first, since it is the cheaper option. The brakes vibration is probably from a rotor that needs to be machined.
I would take it back to the dealer. Those are things that are routine maintenance that should have been taken care of. Don't get rid of the car by any means. Even if the dealer won't take care of them, that just means he is a jerk. The car is fine, just needs a little maintenance.

I 'm pretty sure Mad Jack's got the answer jerking while driving sounds like a misfire or fuel injection problem. The info for the fault should be stored in the on-board computer. Take it to a Saturn dealer for a diagnostic check.
Vibration while stopping most likely points to warped rotors. If your dash and or steering wheel vibrate while stopping all things point to the front rotors.

A bad shock causes vibration (it doesn't show up at slower speed, and gets worse with increasing speed. The tire actually hops up and down.). A bad tire with a ply separation causes the steeling wheel to jerk site to side (it gets worse with speed also). The tread will be twisted. When spinning the tire the tread lines will move side to side. The brakes can cause vibration but only when applied.

Could be any number of things but you saying it happens when you stop it may be your brakes a badly worn rotor your car doesn't have very many miles. also check your tires and alignment and your cv shafts that is your drive shafts if you do not know much about cars you proably need to take it to a good mechanic. Agree with other answerers have alignment checked they will also look at car for you to see if there is any other problem,

My superb guess is a situation together with your ignition gadget. The moisture from the line creates a sprig in the engine compartment. This moisture then motives a short. because the vehicle maintains to run i ought firstly sparkplug wires. verify all of your sparkplug wires the position they run alongside or over different engine parts, particularly metallic parts. (with vehicle grew to change into off) search for rub marks or black burn marks. you should attend till it does it back. Then with some rubber gloves being to slowly carry and wiggle each and each and every plug wire till the project is going away. you've now discovered the project. good success

Your wheels may be out of alignment which is an easy fix and around $150. But you should take it in to get checked there could be something worse or loose which will lead to other problems if you don't get it fixed now.

Sounds like you just need your tires/wheels aligned and balanced. Have the dealer do that for you. They shouldn't have a problem with that if they're a reputable dealer.
