when I was at my lowest point, God spoke to me and offered me salvation in the blood of Jesus.... I turned my life to Him and since have been born again into new life, out of the pit where I had been. The change in me was physical as well as spiritual.... people SEE the difference in my life because Christ is in it.... it isnt just because of the 'bible'... but because of a living speaking true God who changes people from the inside out

besides logic (I'm not talking about the why-are-there-monkeys logic, even though that can be seen as survival of the fittest fyi) I mean theological logic. if you look hard enough, you see the character of God and you find that the Bible has a consistent theme. If you can't see this, you're only looking at the first layer. try going to the Spirit and motive behind the letters. Everything has a reason, God explains why He does things, gives examples of what to do and what not to do, and gives instruction on how to live a Godly life. besides this, the Bible has made many predictions, many of which have come true. note, the Bible was written by about 40 different people over a period of about 1600 years, not counting Job, which predates even Genesis.
many people argue that the Bible has flaws. but if you read enough Scripture you realize that a) the Bible gives explanations for them, especially in metaphorical terms b) Scripture does not contradict itself, but is misinterpretted.
and I guess it's also a matter of yur personal biases. God says no racism, so a lot of racists don't want to be known as Christian. God says He desires an (agape) relationship, other religions say He doesn't. God says unpleasantness is a constant in our natural lives, other religions say otherwise.
The Bible also makes claims that the scientific world recognizes in minority, though you won't exactly see this on the 6:00 news.
for example, in astrophysics, it was stated in science that time had an initial point. since everything needs a trigger, time needed a starter outside of it.
another example is the moon. scientists' accepted theory is that the moon came out of the earth. read Genesis 1 -- the land (rock, earth) was created before the moon, and a firmament was formed.
in psychology, the predictions of our times now are accurate: children have more power (they can call 911 if they think they are abused by spanking in some places). natural disasters will become more frequent (climate change is suspected to contribute to the rapid increase of hurricanes). Nahum 2:4 describes cars quite accurately. scientific knowledge was said to increase rapidly as the earth progresses (what is now technology would be considered witchcraft 300 years ago).
that's reason enough for me. Christianity seems to trump all others in my opinion. feel free to disagree. I still believe there's only one Way.

I believe in God but I have no proof. I just have faith. The Christians who quote the Bible are so misinformed. Men wrote the Bible. As for atheists or other religions, more power to them. If they don't make fun of me, I have no problem with them at all, in fact atheists know more about my religion than I do.

The Bible does tell us that God is the one true God. I don't know how else to explain it. Without the Bible, we would have no idea who God is. The Bible has been proven countless times, in the things that can be proven. So we can trust it in what can't be proven.

All you're likely to get is "because the bible says God is the one true God". What concrete proof is there? None. A handful of ancient scribblings is all that there is. There's no other "proof" to suggest there ever has been or ever will be a supreme being controlling the universe.

gosh i was goin to say that but honestly the reason why I believe in God and not any other higher power is because I looked in other religions and it didn't seemed right I think that it's jus on your preference for tolerance and how strict you want your religion to be so I mean I can't tell you what you should believe or like the reason why other people believe I can only tell you what I believe

I am a Christian. I try not to follow "religion". I follow my relationship with Christ. Religion will not get you into heaven and neither will good works. These are great and added benefit but it still wont earn you a ticket. I believe in God because I see the miracles in my life he has preformed. I cant explain them with pure science.

Because of Jesus. Jesus came on earth, told us he was from heaven and that he was God and that there are no others. He was crucified and he resurrected. He was seen by many eyewitnesses before and after his death. The testimonies are the Gospel. You can chose to believe them or not, I do.

Christians believe that their religion is true "for the Bible tells me so" to quote an old song.
There is no other reason.
