You have to cut them off. It doesn't hurt if you numb it up with an ice cube and clip them with clean nail clippers. Have a band-aid ready, it may bleed a small amount.

Those are the only way to get rid of them. It is a very simple procedure at the Dr.'s office and should only take one office visit.

In addition to what JD said above, you could leave it alone.
I won't advise that you cut it out yourself.
Esentially, you could leave it alone, or go see your MD.
The MD will either ask you to leave it alone, cut it out, freeze it or "tie it" off to let it drop off.
