Overall, the average for all pharm techs is $12-$13 per hour. Remember, hospitals pay more than retail.

cari93, I would think they'd be on a 'Salary'. I used to work for a Pharmacy, but I worked for the film department, so I really never got to meet the pharmacists. I do know they were all driving 'Bentleys' and 'Mercedes Benzs' 'BMWs' and the like. So, just from that knowledge they've got to be making pretty good money! Although working at one of the busiest 'Drug Stores' in the district had to of helped make them a wee bit more dough then the other pharmacists made, in the big city! I'm sure it helped make their pay checks a little fatter anyway! Google your question and see if you can't find some answers there. I would type in something along the lines of: What is the standard pay for a pharmacy technician in the states of Rhode Island and New York? And go from there. I do hope I was of some help for you. Remember Interesting questions deserve Stars! Smile!!

It's highly dependent on where and what type of pharmacy you work in. My first job in college was as a pharmacy technician at a hospital in the south. I started at around 8 dollars an hour. In bigger cities in the north you can expect to make 10-14 dollars an hour depending on whether you work in a hospital or retail pharmacy. I personally enjoyed working in a hospital pharmacy over a retail one. If you like it, you may eventually consider being a pharmacist. Good luck.

Depends on your area I use this site (vault.com)to determine the average local pay. It has a great salary calculator for different areas. Under the salaries tab click on the salary calculator.I hope you find it useful.
