You're right. I agree. But like I've said before... they will say ANYTHING to make us look like we're in the wrong, no matter how ignorant it sounds..

The comment isn't so much that it is work that Americans can't do - it is work they won't do.

Pre WW II era there wasn't any such thing as a job an American woudlnt' do. You either worked or you starved. Now, with welfare and food stamps and programs - people don't have to work to eat, they live on the dole from the Government.

Illegals are hear because America is a great country and our economy is boombing. Our unemployement is the lowest it has been in 20+ years.

No you are not lazy. Most of the jobs that America won't do is because of the pay. Not because we are lazy we don't get free medical, free food. We have to pay for our kids to eat lunches.

Most of the time the people that complain that ha we wash your toilets are also getting a free ride somewhere.

With the prices on everything going up how could I survive on $7.50 an hour?

No, we don't need them at all. The leaders of these corporations just don't want to ante up the money that Americans will do the jobs for. Pay rates are at a 30 year low. Why? Because illegals will do it for less than half than it would cost for an American would do it.

Well not to be in the negative, but those jobs are paying less! It is an expensive world now days is it not? Not to say there are plenty of people regardless of race doing these jobs, but typically now days the majority who are willing to do anything for money like that is someone without a green card living here. Any job you can get without showing citizenship is desirable. How many positions off hand are there? As a tax paying American are you willing to work for 4 dollars an hour? Its not that we need them to do this work, or that we can not do it ourselves its just that employers can lower their wages and create a new working environment for illegals to be a part of. For the most part you wont see anyone checking a farmer for his employees citizenship, but as new regulations come in to play that might just change. I agree with your last statement. Who is paying taxes that pay for interpreters in school, law, and health-care? If anyone is suffering it is the American Economy. The tax payers are the ones who should be able to receive the benefits of their earnings (me-stating the obvious). They should be like everyone else trying to gain citizenship- do the work-quit taking from the world what you didn't help put in.

Yep. Those jobs got done before they were here and they'd get done if they left. A lot of our fruit comes from other countries anyway. I'd grow my own strawberries if it meant all illegals were deported and could never get back in.

It's not that Americans wont or can't do these jobs, it that Americans wont do theses job's for the wage that an immigrant will do them for, so if we do get rid of them there will be a huge gap to fill, we would first need to train enough people to work these jobs, and then we need to be prepared to pay 10 dollars for a head of lettuce, or 100 bucks to get the lawn mowed, Americans are going to want a fair wage to do these jobs and insurance! so what your talking about is replacing low wage non insured workers with, livable wage insured workers, and guess who pays for that, us the consumer so it is not as easy as it seems, it is a double edged sword, and with so many of us barley making it by I don't really know if our economy could really stand it. what we need to do is invade Mexico and make it all America for the Canada border to cabo san lucas!

They like to call us lazy because it makes them feel better about themselves, but they are only hard working when it benefits them, follow a Mexican back to Mexico where wages are less and he'll show you the true meaning of lazy. Ask those people if they would pick strawberries in their own country and they will tell you no, they would get an education and swing in a hammock until a better paying job came along.

There are to many poor, starving, and homeless people in this country that are citizens that are able to do the work... the whole thing about illegals is people hire them, they don't have to pay taxes or offer health-care.. so the jobs are not given to Americans they are given to illegals... as Citizens.. we can't work for the same wages as illegals because they don't pay taxes on their $6-$10hr jobs.. whereas we do.. so we would lose 20-30% of our paychecks, whereas they can walk away with it all... as citizens we need health-care- by law, if you employ so many people they have to offer health care
I'm sick and tired of hearing that we are lazy, or we won't work for the same wages... we are not lazy.. we just aren't offered the jobs, which makes us homeless, poor, and hungry... we cannot work for the same wages, because it wouldn't be the same in the end.. we would make much less money... we need to start taking care of our own struggling citizens, rather than worrying about struggling illegals, who in the end are only going to move back to their country when they are done working and making money

Funny...Even could pass as an idiot.
But the question is who will be willing to do those medial back breaking jobs. Because I am sure that it's easy to think that they will be filled. But not by "GQ" wanna bees that work out indoors where a/c is readily available! Nor will any other light complected person that needs tanning lotion just to go to the store(at night). I don't even wish it on anyone to do that type of work unless it's an independent business, and not even that way really...
