the order in the family?

In order to know what order a boy in his family, eg he is the oldest, the second or the youngest, What question we should put to get the above answer? Thanks a lot

Q:Is John the youngest of your brothers?
A: He is the oldest

"Are you the oldest in your family?"

If the answer is yes, he'll say yes. If not, he'll say, "No, I'm the middle child/2nd born/3rd born", etc.
