I can usually tell if they are trying to insult me or if they are just doing it out of ignorance. If their lack of knowledge is causing them to be abrasive, then I usually send them a nice email correcting the misconception. If they are purposely insluting me, I usually find it to be funny or pitiful, depending on the nature of the insult and my current mood...

I'm only insulted by religious people. So I can only answer from that side of the fence.
My philosophy is simple. I understand that they are under the influence of a drug (religion) and have little control over their behavior. Their anger is a defensive reaction to me taking their drug away from them.
I know this feeling well, because I was addicted to religion once myself.
I just try to forgive them for their behavior, and hope they can break free of it one day.

Don't read others answers, don't go back and read the questioner's comments they made after you answered and you will feel okay mostly. Don't answer questions that are two edged or suspicious. If in doubt, go check them out, you can see how a person answered other questions.
Consider the source...including me.

I yell at them by writing in all caps, then I calm down a little and I tend to be a tiny bit sarcastic. Finally I just tell them that I'll pray for them because thye definitely need help. Or I just hit things.

Well, I try to be objective about it. SOmetimes they might have a point, so I examine myself to see if they do.
The only posts that really offend me are when people attack my friends or very young posters on the forum.
I think kindness is the best way, but doesn't always work. I think the next best approach is to ignore the person. If they don't get attention, they go away. Last resort is confronting them.

I got my first violation the first night I came on here, but didn't know until I checked my mail next day.
I felt sick for days, and it was nothing really. Just some outraged christian.
After over 30 violations, it doesn't even suprise you anymore. This is not even mentioning the hate mail.
To those who send me hate mail - at least be accurate.

I don't have a lot of buttons left to push in this life anymore, so it takes a LOT for someone to "insult" me. I understand people's behaviors arise due to their own causes and conditions in life so I tend to consider that first... and try to meet their rhetoric with firmness and compassion, when it's something that can upset or hurt others... if it's personal, I usually don't pay it much mind.

I regret your assumption of male gender. Most of the truly rude and insulting answers I've gotten ( or questions I've seen) have been from women or girls. As to the gist of your question, it seems somewhat confused. How does energy see?

I check out the person's other answers - if they are just abusive jerks - red flag them. You will find that most of the time it is someone that just signed on and just spews junk. This forum is meant to be helpful - weed out those that are not.

the bible says
Romans 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Romans 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
this is what God says its the best answere anyone can give you listen to the bible and not humans.
