A wealthy man will find it hard to gain approval if he has not done good works with it along the way. Most wealthy people do not become wealthy by being generous.
In this world there is always one more temptation, one better car, then a boat, then an aircraft, then a private jet.
When I have these I will give generously, then - "whats that? a personal spacecraft? I just gotta have one of those.
I fear we are all failing this one in some respects.

Anyone check out the rich list????
The queen doesn't own the properties the government does!
And the queen is low, low, low on the list!
Alright compared to you and me she's high up but.....
As for those in dumpsters, get your local MP on to it, stop picking on others and be proactive!!!!

The Jesus of the Gospels was starkly apolitical, talking about rendering up to Caesar what belonged to Caesar. Trust me, compared to his own population, Caesar was doing a lot better than the Queen.
Didn't they put "The poor you will have with you always," in his mouth, too?
It's a shame because you get these real gems of spirituality in other parts of the gospels, but this sort of passivity in the rest.
