play with her, finger paint with her, take her to the park, socialise her with other children, dance in the lounge room with her, sing to her, read her bed time stories and most important.....LOVE her...

LOVE, PATIENCE, ACCEPTANCE, these are the main thing as well as being able to handle almost anything. you also need to be able to juggle alot of things at once. i have a 3.5 year old and a 8 month old. also you can not get embarrassed easily because kids say and find things at the worst of times. my bf grandpa passed away last June and we had to go out of town for the funeral and had no babysitter for him. at the end of the serves he burped as loud as he could when is was quiet in the church. it really lightened the mood but i didn't know what to do after he did that other then get up with him and leave

It encompasses several things - loving your child, anticipating their needs, educating them appropriately for their age and development, disciplining when necessary and in an appropriate manner, teaching them that they are the most important thing in the world to you!! Teach them responsibility, (personal and to others), tolerance, and when to do the right thing. Sacrifice your own wants and needs for theirs when appropriate (giving up nights out with friends to be with your kids for bedtime routines, for example, but not marrying the wrong man just to give her a father). Teach her to be well behaved and polite, but not a pushover.
Be a good example. That's the best thing you can do. If you don't want your daughter to do it, then you shouldn't.

My grandma always said the secret to being a good mom is LOVE plain and simple. Love them enough to make sure they have what they need, even if it means doing something you don't like or want to do.
Love them enough to make them do their homework, no matter how tired you are or how much they complain.
Love them enough to make them behave. No matter how heart broken they look when you send them to their room. Because they will be much more heart broken when a JUDGE sends them to a different room.
Love them enough to make them tell you where they are going to be and with who. Because you don't want to find out where they are by watching the news.
Love them enough to let them grow up. And hope you have done your job.
Love them enough to give them roots and wings, and pray they will use them both.

Being happy yourself ... taking care of yourself so that you can physically and mentally deal with teaching her how to be a good human being. Love her, and let her know that you love yourself.

love and self sacrifice!
loving your child even if you are tired and feel a bit impatient never show it. giving up every selfish thought for the love of your child and doing your best in every situation to make them happy and comfortable. protect them and show them how to respect themselves and others.

A good mom is putting your child's needs first. If you do that, you can't go wrong.
